Camp BroaderWay's third summer camp was held at Simon's Rock College in Great Barrington, MA. The facilities at Simon's Rock expand the variety of programming that is offered, and give the campers the opportunity to seek out and explore new avenues.
We have begun our expansion program and welcomed additional girls to camp. They joined returning campers and were embraced and nurtured by the older girls. Camp BroaderWay is committed to a four year camp experience for every camper in order to foster the growth and integrity of what the girls absorb from their ABW experience..
The girls have a wide and exciting choice of electives to help them discover where their interests might lie: For the first time, this summer there was access to a computer studio where some of our campers designed and wrote the Playbill for their NYC performance; other electives included learning sign language, swimming , painting , acting , song writing , rock climbing , sculpture , choreography and tap.
Each year, the girls, in conjunction with the talented staff, create personal poems, essays, dances, acting scenes, etc. and collaborate to produce an original stirring show which they perform in New York for their families and friends. This year it took place at The Schomburg Center on August 15th.
